Prosthesis is a fun/useful concept. One interpretation of John 1.1 can see the Logos (the verbal/logical "structure" of the game) as prost-theon, or the prosthesis of God Consciousness.
We are all, and should all be cyborgs of some sort. There's nothing wrong with that, and in fact it's how we sub-create ourselves into what we dream of. Certainly I'm no one to argue against "artifice".
Yet, this structure is not pre-eminent, and should never be. And this is the problem that modern man faces. The very essence of oppression is the attempt to make people fit the systems, rather than have the systems extend the already existing and functioning people. Of course class oppression then is when one group considers themselves "human" and therefore inviolate, but dehumanizes others and tries to "engineer" them.
