atlas got fired
Jan. 29th, 2007 10:32 pmthe thing of it is, it's all a shibboleth of sorts
let those who can, do
but where the darkness squeezes in is that
people forget that the equilibrium is long gone
too much weight above the water line,
the doorman has too much say
and to keep his position, is the real reason
for all the laws and wars
we're dying and crying so that they can
keep making us wear suits
and that's not much of an exaggeration
the weirdest part is that their bulwark,
the real foot soldiers of this game,
are the regular old people you meet every day
who forgot that the equilbrium is long gone
and act like nothing changed.
but if those who can may not
and those who may are hammered
down too far,
something's got to give.
