Matted Texture

I defy even these expectations
and choose instead to turn turn
and face you from my own angle
of rotation
and I shall not be moved,
A rock which shall not play this role-
though we both suffer
I'd rather have it this way
than be bullied and brought down
by your playground tacit game
you should have written down
the rules...
One day your patience will run out.
Mine however, will not.

No spam for holy breakfast.

sutured with salesmanship
this patchwork quilt doesn't warm me
to you, it seems like love's desire
but it's just grasping for a hand
down to join you
in the landslide...
If you want to find me
within my shell,
I'm not hiding,
the keys are under the mat
you know how to do this
if you don't just ask,
but I'm not chasing you
or buying anything.

(no subject)

diving so I don't sink
regain control of the watercourse
it really works
of course
only thing that saved me
all those years
let go of attachment
to direction and swim
do what you can right now
and keep doing
and it gets easier I think
when you swim
so you don't sink

Jeet Kune Do - more than just a method to kick ass, although it's also not.

To today's writings so far, I'd like to add, that there's a method to my madness (and vice versa), and I hope you all still appreciate reading these, though that won't stop me if you don't :)

Pacing in syllables is important, but so is whitespace when you deal with the typed word.
ee cummings had something to say to me along with the rest, but I take from the angles that appeal to my soul
and leave behind what may be most... obvious to many

Everything-o-mancy, to be done well, becomes as intricate and difficult an art as any other... at the very least.
Under the sun, we stay well-regulated like an old-timey militia (4-warned is 4-armed ?), but the moon can overshadow, especially when we have been lax with our gifts to her. And so I felt compelled to let go a bit, to stretch out some different ways than I have been lately and to do what I can, given my limits. Which as the highly moon-flavored Dr. Lilly pointed out, are to be discovered and then may be transcended.
She means a lot to me, because I can't take her for granted. Like I've said before, I have to approach her in full awareness and artifice.

And so I am the Queen of Swords, but also the disciple of Clotho. Carefully weighing out the thread.
