A stranger recognizing Picasso asked him why he didn't paint pictures of people "the way they really are."
Picasso asked the man what he meant by "the way they really are," and the man pulled out of his wallet a snapshot of his wife as an example.
Picasso responded: "Isn't she rather small and flat?"

what I'm saying is that it shouldn't be either or... there's room for lots of different patterns in the world if we stop trying to universalize ourselves
if we give up that power lust and sense of belief...
yes, the universe is a giant pattern matching machine, but it's the sense of heirarchy that is a social fiction
all you can really say is that your pattern is the best for you... and even that's only discovered through trial and error.

and so I answer myself and say "I'm trying... please allow for some error."
