This may sound odd to many of you, but the one thing I could never figure out about people is what the appeal of ordering other people around is...
I mean, I know a lot of people like it. But I'm not sure what's so good about it...

is it an anxiety-relief thing, or some sort of sexual sublimation thing, or what?
I can understand using a position of power to extract wealth and resources, that's just simple greed.
But people seem to enjoy power over others for it's own sake, beyond simple ego aggrandizement.
