there are endless paths...
because there are no real paths
we fill the empty space with endless effort
but end up no more complete than before
we are free to use all or none of our past
and there are no failures
except in relation to a goal
which we are free to revise at any time
and yet, the pattern persists
the universe has a shape of its own
which is to be discovered by resistance
