Jason Wayne Lemue is a Marine who served three tours in Iraq.

"My commander told me, 'Kill those who need to be killed, and save those who need to be saved,' that was our mission on our first tour," he said of his first deployment during the invasion nearly five years ago.

Lemue continued, "After that, the ROE changed, and carrying a shovel, or standing on a rooftop talking on a cell phone, or being out after curfew [meant the people] were to be killed. I can't tell you how many people died because of this. By my third tour, we were told to just shoot people, and the officers would take care of us."

Just for clarification: The italicized part above is a quote from a news article. Unfortunately I thought I had linked the original article but I didn't before posting. I don't remember the url of the original.

Man alive, I sure feel ... something right now. I'm not sure what it is, but I feel a lot of it.

And it's pretty good. I hope it comes back from time to time.

I think there is a vast conspiracy designed to get me closer to my true will.

On that note, a gag I think would be amusing if you have paranoid friends:
If they ever say something like "they're out to get me..." you immediately interject "laid!"

In planetary terms I think my objection to "The World as it exists" is that our society is being controlled by Ouranos and Pluto, but they're masquerading as Jupiter and Mars.
Now all planets/gods/abstract forces have their uses and positive aspects. But these are two particularly dangerous forces to be dominant in the world.
Ouranos is the force of the Dead Hand of the Past. Look around at the hero-worship, the copyright insanity, the financial markets (where pluto and ouranos work together most fervently, pluto propping up the castrated elder god...) - even the weird moral agency problems with the managerial class, is a manifestation of past performance being worshipped instead of actual talent and results.
The wars that we wage are not really ideological wars, wars of passion, martian wars. They are pure mafia operations disguised as crusades.

The problem is the deception, the masquerade. If the masks came off, we could integrate these currently dominant forces and put them in their proper place... but it's hard to get a hold of something with no visible handles.
This fact of "things as they are" is the main reason why I advocate personal anarchism, remix culture and the grey market.

As old uncle Karl said, the true essence of revolution* is merely a ruthless criticism of all things currently existing.

* which properly understood is simply a healthy rotation, a necessary changing of seasons...
