Had a weird "moment of horror" in an otherwise normal dream. Always wakes me up immediately, when that happens.
Had typical "flight or fight" response, meditated, breath control, drank water.
Now I am awake but fading back to sleepiness.

Perhaps nightmares originate when people have these moments but it doesn't wake them up, so they are having an adrenal response while still asleep.

It's odd. I've evolved as a person, spiritually, mentally, maybe even physically (hehe) so much in the past 8 years.
But most of my actual Work on the deep levels was done long before that. It's kind of like planting a seed I suppose.
The past few years were like the part where you just water it, and watch it grow.

But what's odd about it to me is that it doesn't feel day to day, like this is happening.
This is actually a known feature in humans, where their standards of assessing their own performance shift before the performance does, so they feel like they're on a plateau even though they are making gains. So I need to step back and look at longer time spans in order to remind myself to have patience and discipline and keep going even though it seems like treading water sometimes.

The interesting part is that in one or two aspects of my life, I actually have been in a plateau for the past two or three years. If I go by my long-term view, there will come a time of incredibly accelerated development, where the plant has finally broken ground.

I hope it's soon. :)

So many things are "no comment" tonight.

Suffice it to say, the best advice I can give is:
"keep your senses open... don't believe things that people in positions of power tell you... examine your premises"
