I'm not usually big on celebrity deaths but motherfucking George Carlin died.

He was one of Us. One of the good ones.

He had it coming though, as do we all. He knew he was getting old.

I am in my brain, the way a radio station is "in" the radio.

Genes are one way of passing information, for that matter, so is friction. Or light. That's why these things are used as metaphors and symbols for other, more efficient/effective forms, like memetic transmission or... This Thing Of Ours, which goes beyond even that.

However, the other forms are necessary as a foundation for this thing. Without light, heat, bodies, food, language, etc, we wouldn't have a space to hold our consciousness. All of it should be operating in parallel, so to speak.
