disalienated, enveloped, languid
a put upon tatterdemalion
caught in a life assigned and unwanted
trying to cut the tail off
tied to the baggage of years of following orders
no longer applicable, if they ever were
never truly aided, only kept alive
to be drained and blamed
for not being a good enough donor
there's no spare platelets left
for the hungry
if a doorway doesn't open soon
then there shall be nothing left at all.

A lot of people will complain in a way that Bush was being manipulated by his administration.
On the other hand, can you imagine what kind of mess we'd be in if he didn't let them manipulate him?

I like Obama, as far as scummy politicians go. He'll probably make things better for a lot of people than they otherwise would be.
He's like Clinton without the shitty baby boomer smugness.

Nonetheless, the real answer will always be waiting for us to seize it, as we almost did 200 and something years ago, or almost 100 years ago.
Alexander Hamilton and Woodrow Wilson were too good at selling shit to the shit shovelers.

Although I will say that Jefferson and his crowd kind of killed their own philosophy by owning slaves, so maybe they're the real villains in The American Story, by making anti-federalism look like a scummy excuse for owning other people.

The truth of the matter is: We are the ones we've been waiting for.
We always will be. Always were. That was one idea both Jesus and Emma Goldman had in common, and their message was twisted away from them in both cases.

In a way it's better that the original anarchist/labor movement ended the way it did, because at least it didn't become a religion spouting ideas opposite to its founders. Or at least not mostly. LOL.
