A friend of mine tells a great story about capping an early morning beer, flipping on the TV and seeing a high school buddy of his as a children's show host. Said it was the weirdest experience he ever had.
I still believe in 19th century sensibilities in regard to child rearing. Pack um off to the villiage wetnurse's cottage till they're old enough to be if not entertaining, at least mildly amusing.
It worked for Jane Austen's mother(I'm reading her biography at present). And I mean she turned out ok.
