the brutalisms gotta go..

I suspect that the instigators of the ones in the don't like column were more like salesmen who wear those horrible salesman suits than they were actual architects in possession of a vision..

The deconstructivism is alot like when they changed coke to "new coke" way back..

But those brutalists got a special place in hell..

I always just called it "neo-facist" architecture at NCC but brutalism is so much more fitting.. funny too cause I used to describe the new campus as the set from logan's run..

I must be the only guy on the planet who actually likes Brutalism, especially the seventies polygonal variety. Even so, I like it the way I like books about military hardware: in a dirty, don't-let-the-neighbours-find-out kind of way. It's probably just misplaced nostalgia...
