that window does not lead out
a topological deception
and the door only changes shape
to lead you to a new set of bars
just as that which you fear
will set you on your way
so too, exhaustion
is the true beginning of strength
children always fail
but adults are worthless
there's something else
keep looking, keep moving
open yourself to something
a shape that doesn't fit
the topological perception
quantity is the only path
to quality.

can't suspend my judgement
can't pretend I believe
what will get me rewarded
when the fact that that's possible
is what is so troublesome
in the first place
consensus is prima facie
evidence of oppression
and unity is homogeny
monoculture is no culture at all
so what's left is the interstices
obliquity, layers and gaps
and to otherwise
remain silent
because everything I say
can and will
be used against me.

The existentialist doctrine that a person is defined by their actions is what separates moral dualism from Manicheanism.

Murderers, rapists, fraudsters, these people are Them. But they're only Them because they did those things.
"They" separated themselves from "us" through their actions.

To equate moral dualism with Manicheanism is to espouse, subtly, a doctrine of "might makes right".
Even Utilitarianism doesn't escape this because those who violate it are Them.

Personally, my morality is based on inter-subjectivity. This is the doctrine that each person is a fellow Subject, rather than a mere object.
The next conclusion is the Confucian one: That which you would not have done to yourself, do not do to others.
It's a more parsimonious version of the Golden Rule.

Those who violate this are abdicating their subjectivity, either in part or in whole.
