I've been called a communist and a right-winger and both of these epithets are about the opposite of where I stand. For the record, I don't think that Post WWII "Conservatism" is a real ideology even, it's just a memetic trap served up to catch people who don't fit into the Liberal Corporate Mainstream. It's mostly nonsensical, no tenets or guidelines other than "follow the leader" and various forms of xenophobia.

All that said, given whom we have left to choose from for president, I'd prefer Obama at this point. I don't hate him, which is saying something, and as an anarchist, I don't think "experience" is necessarily a plus for a politician. It tends to mean they're just more corrupted. Being more skilled at doing evil is not a bonus. Dick Cheney would not have been a "better" president than Dubya.

I didn't think JFK was a great president, and he certainly had a lot of fucked up skeletons in his closet, but he was sure as hell better than Nixon. Hillary Clinton in this analogy would be LBJ.
Or maybe another way to put it is "I'd rather have a demagogue as the figurehead of the USA than a spoiled egomaniac or an angry old man".
