The layers:
1. The unreal/subconscious/inner world
2. The world of phenomena (the subjective reality) (bridges 1 and 3)
3. The world of raw perception (only attainable with great difficulty) (bridges 2 and 4)
4. The real/"objective"/external world (unattainable in itself)
We use "Science" to help universalize world 2, to hopefully make it conform better to worlds 3 and 4.
"Meditation" of various sorts can help us get worlds 1 and 2 closer to world 3.
"Psychotherapy" can help us conform world 1 with world 2 and perhaps 3.
"Technology" can help world 3 conform better to 4. (such as microscopes, eyeglasses, any feedback mechanism, etc)
