I just found out something interesting... when you see pictures of people "rioting" in other countries, and there are small fires everywhere, the fires are often lit to disperse tear gas.  Something to keep in mind if the shit ever hits the fan here.

I understand from this article that fires may not be the way to go - soaking things in vinegar is recommended. Now, of course, I'm all curious about the chemistry of that.
