ineffabelleUnlike their tribal cousins the pure, or Unreformed Geeks, the Acid Geeks are, unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how it all turns out, actually aware that they are psychologically damaged geniuses with relatively little power. They remember and can place into context how they were ruined and how their intellectual power doesn't win over social manipulation skills, which were denied them so long ago...
And this is why they end up as some sort of rebel, revolutionary or rejector. They seek to return to or create an age where ideas meant something, regardless of their particular means of doing so.
They know that good ideas are not cheap or common, and in fact carry a price most would shudder to pay.
And in fact what redeems them, when they are redeemed, is an understanding that humanity at large pays a terrible price for choosing Charisma over Gnosis. The popularity contest has a dark underbelly stained with sweat and blood.
The man in Indonesia working in a factory 18 hours a day probably doesn't realize that he's there because it's the only way to keep the Show going on... and indeed, the Show must go on.
