Also, back in around 1810 or so, Beethoven was inventing jazz rhythms about 100 years ahead of schedule.
Check out around 6:30 to 8:00 into this piece for an example.

And then it goes into some crazy modern shit that was about 150 years ahead of its time probably.

Life is odd. I like it that way.

I used to go to the Beethoven Festival with my father every year when I was a kid. If we're still here in June you should come with Mike and I, it's at the Planting fields Arboretum in Oyster Bay. We'll get a blanket on the lawn and share a bottle of wine :)
